BW-TOPSIS: A Hybrid Method to Evaluate Software Testing Techniques

نویسندگان

چکیده

Software testing plays a significant role in various software development phases. There are so many techniques available. Selecting the most suitable technique based on multiple factors is challenging for practitioners. This paper proposes an MCDM-based hybrid approach selecting appropriate among available techniques, considering such as cost, schedule, resources, etc. Because of involvement factors, problem can be modeled MCDM problem. study by integrating two methods BWM (Best-Worst Method) and TOPSIS (Technique Order Preference Similarity to Ideal Solution), evaluating altogether. For applicability proposed approach, experimental was conducted using seven six evaluation criteria. Results show used efficient tool presence factors.

Applying software engineering testing techniques to evaluate emergency plans

An emergency plan is an important artifact used throughout emergencies. Therefore, it is crucial that this plan covers the different scenarios faced by emergency team and that the prescribed procedures generate the desired results. To achieve these goals, emergency plans need to be exhaustively tested prior to its adoption. Emergency teams usually use simulation to test plans, but it is an expe...

Applying Software Transformation Techniques to Security Testing

Application protocols have become sophisticated enough that they have become languages in their own right. At the best of times, these protocols are difficult to implement correctly. Combining the complexity of these protocols with other development pressures such as time to market, limited processor power and/or demanding performance requirements make it even more difficult to produce implemen...

Software Testing Techniques

The aim is to compare different testing techniques and what efforts it takes to find genuine failures on particular level of test. These levels are e.g. unit/component level, i.e. code/designer level testing, as well as on other test levels, such as integrated and system test level. Test cases are often complementary to each other, and explore different aspects of the program being tested. Writ...
